Together with the Collegium Muscium choir, the RWTH Aachen orchestra shapes the official university ensemble. Next to RWTH students, employees and teachers, other music-enthusiasts from Aachen's student landscape make up our about 60 members.

Rehearsels take place every Monday during the lecture period from 7:30 to 10:00 pm at the RWTH Aula 1 in Aachen. The language during the rehearsels is german. Close to the end of each lecture period, the orchestra performs two concerts here in Aachen. Every other term a joint program of orchester and choir is rehearsed and presented. Hightlights from previous terms are the "Carmina Burana" by Carl Orff, the Verdi Requiem, the symphonie in d-minor by César Franck or the Vilionconcert by Tschaikowsky.

Here you can find an overview of our last concerts.

Besides the regular concerts at the end of each term, the Collegium Musicum orchestra performs at other RWTH Aachen events as well, in the industry or at various cultural events in Germany and abroad. In addition, the RWTH Carbon Quintett consists of orchestra members and is an impressive combination of science and music, giving concerts with a broad repertoire on various occasions.
